The season 28 finale of South Park delivered a Christmas-themed storyline centred on the fate of the unborn child of Donald Trump and Satan.

The episode opened with Trump, JD Vance, Peter Thiel and Pete Hegseth preparing for a confrontation in a hospital against Stan, the Christmas Critters and Jesus. Moments before the battle was set to begin, a doctor announced that the baby had died.

According to the doctor, “We looked at the ultrasound, and it appears that at some point when nobody was watching, the baby hung itself and took its own life.” He added that “the baby got hold of some bedsheets,” and referenced missing footage from the ultrasound recording.

The scene presented a darkly comedic twist that viewers online have linked to the circumstances surrounding the 2019 death of Jeffrey Epstein, whose case was widely discussed due to missing surveillance footage.

Trump was later shown celebrating the news with a party at the White House, handing out cigars and declaring, “It’s a dead.” Fox News offered “thoughts and prayers” in the episode, while Satan, distressed by the revelation, packed his belongings and left the White House.

The episode also depicted Satan learning of an affair between Trump and Vance through an intimate item, prompting him to reflect, “The president hath deceived… He hath deceived us all.”

Jesus initially supported Trump earlier in the episode, but Stan persuaded him to reconsider. Jesus acknowledged that he had “lost his way” before helping Stan secure a house.

Creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have said in previous interviews that although they had not planned to focus heavily on the current political landscape, they were drawn to themes that had come to feel “taboo.”

South Park seasons 27 and 28 have continued to parody the Trump administration, with episodes now streaming on Paramount+.
