Social Robotics, the company behind the humanoid robot known as Rizzbot, has filed a lawsuit against streamer IShowSpeed, alleging that he physically damaged the robot during a livestreamed appearance earlier this year.

According to the complaint, the robot suffered multiple forms of mechanical and sensor-related damage after the streamer punched it, placed it in a chokehold, and threw it to the ground while broadcasting to his audience. The company claims the incident left Rizzbot unable to walk properly and caused failures in its cameras, ports, and internal components.

The lawsuit also states that the robot’s sudden loss of function led to the cancellation of several high-profile planned appearances, resulting in what the company describes as significant financial losses.

The filing alleges that police who arrived at the scene confirmed the damage occurred without the owner’s consent. The company says it attempted to resolve the matter privately but pursued legal action after negotiations failed.

Representatives for IShowSpeed have not commented publicly on the claims, and no further details about the ongoing investigation have been released.
