Hiker narrowly escapes serious injury after falling from cliff while taking selfie
Tourist survives fall from cliff while taking selfie

A hiking trip nearly turned tragic for a tourist in China after he fell from a 130-foot-high cliff while trying to capture the perfect selfie.
The incident occurred at Huaying Mountain in Guang’an, where footage shows the man standing precariously on the edge of a rocky outcrop, phone in hand. As he adjusted for a selfie, he lost his balance and tumbled over the cliff, disappearing into the trees below.
Other hikers rushed to the scene but initially could not locate him. Miraculously, the man survived the fall.

He later shared his experience on social media, writing, “The mountain Gods blessed me. I’m so lucky. I fell from a 40m high cliff and rolled down the slope for nearly 15 metres. When the rocks collapsed, I thought I was going to die. It’s so good to be alive. So I’ll live well!”
Authorities have not reported any serious injuries, and the incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of taking selfies in risky locations.
