One killed, another injured in Saeedabad firing incident
Police say incident stems from family dispute, launching further investigations

A firing incident in Saeedabad, Gulshan-e-Mazdoor, left one person dead and another seriously injured, police reported. The injured man was arrested, and a weapon, along with a motorcycle, was recovered from his possession. Police have described the incident as stemming from a family dispute and have launched further investigations.
The deceased, 45-year-old Muhammad Arif, son of Abdul Sattar, and the injured, 24-year-old Umar Mustafa, son of Ghulam Mustafa, were transferred to the Civil Trauma Center via Edhi Ambulance. The incident occurred in the jurisdiction of Saeedabad Police Station, and the Crime Scene Unit was called to collect evidence.

SHO Saeedabad, Parvez Solangi, said that Muhammad Arif was a local resident, while Umar Mustafa hailed from Musharraf Colony. Umar Mustafa had visited the home of a citizen named Rafiq to meet Rafiq’s daughter, with whom he was friends. After staying at the house for about 20 minutes, Umar Mustafa was seen by the women present in the home, who mistook him for a thief and raised an alarm.
When Umar Mustafa tried to leave in panic, neighborhood residents arrived. Thinking he was a thief, they attempted to catch him. Umar Mustafa opened fire, and Muhammad Arif also fired during the confrontation. The exchange of gunfire resulted in Muhammad Arif’s death and Umar Mustafa’s serious injury.
The SHO stated that the incident appears to be a branch of a family dispute. Umar Mustafa was taken into custody while injured, and a weapon and motorcycle were recovered from him.
Further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
