Marciano Brunette has filed a defamation lawsuit against fellow reality-TV figure Demi Engemann and followed it with a pointed social media post suggesting retaliation.

According to the lawsuit, Brunette denies Engemann’s allegations of sexual assault during filming in Italy, claiming their encounter was consensual. He alleges she made false public accusations that harmed his reputation and career.

One day after filing the suit, Brunette posted an Instagram Reel featuring a voiceover saying, “Somebody do something to me, I’ll do something to them… So you believe in getting even? Hell to the yeah.” The timing has fueled speculation that the message refers to the legal dispute.

Brunette’s lawsuit also names the production company behind The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, accusing it of airing Engemann’s claims while excluding his perspective to heighten on-screen drama. The filing asserts this editorial choice intensified the damage to him professionally and personally.

Engemann, who previously discussed what she described as “unwanted touch” on the show, has not publicly responded to the lawsuit. The conflict continues to spark debate as supporters of both personalities react to the competing accounts.
