Rachel Zoe discusses sons’ reaction to Rodger Berman’s relationship
Rachel Zoe says her sons have long known about Rodger Berman’s girlfriend as she reflects on co-parenting after split

Rachel Zoe has spoken about the shifting family dynamic following her separation from Rodger Berman, addressing the subject during the season 15 premiere of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
The fashion executive discussed how Berman was photographed with his girlfriend Bree Jacoby only months after the pair announced their split in September 2024.
Zoe, 54, said their sons Skyler, 14, and Kaius, 11, “have probably known for 10 months” about Jacoby. When a producer noted that this timeline suggested Berman, 57, began a new relationship immediately after the separation, Zoe replied, “I’ll let you do the math.”
She explained that the boys’ relationship with their father has become “tricky” since the breakup. According to Zoe, they “wonder why… there’s time spent with his girlfriend versus his kids,” and question some of his behaviour since the separation. Zoe added that while she is “trying” to regard Berman “as a friend,” they are “not there yet.”
Zoe and Berman met in 1991 while studying at George Washington University and married in 1998. Zoe compared their long-term partnership to The Notebook, noting they were together for 18 years before becoming parents.
She said they eventually “outgrew each other” and became “very different people.” She also reflected on the challenges of working together, saying that “lines got crossed” and that Berman became “unrecognisable” over time.
The stylist described the first summer after their split as “brutal” but said she now feels content living without a partner in the home. “I don’t come home to an empty house sad,” she said. “I come home to an empty house smiling. It’s very peaceful.”
Zoe emphasised that her sons’ well-being remains her priority. “If my kids are great, all is fine,” she said.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Thursdays on Bravo, with episodes available to stream on Peacock the following day.
