Fresh ‘Men in Black’ installment in the works from Chris Bremner
Sony sets new ‘Men in Black’ movie in motion with Chris Bremner writing

Sony Pictures is preparing to suit up again: a new Men in Black film is officially in early development, with Bad Boys for Life screenwriter Chris Bremner tapped to write the script, according to reporting first shared by Deadline.
The project is still in its earliest stages, with no cast or director attached. However, sources say the studio intends to send the script to original franchise star Will Smith once a first draft is complete, hoping he may return as Agent J in some capacity.
Whether that means a leading role or a supporting, torch-passing appearance remains unclear, and Smith is not currently attached.
The Men in Black franchise remains one of Sony’s most valuable library titles, with the original 1997 sci-fi comedy spawning two sequels and the 2019 spin-off MIB: International, collectively earning nearly $2 billion worldwide.
Because the film is still taking shape, no producers have been announced, though previous installments were produced by Walter F. Parkes and Laurie MacDonald, with Steven Spielberg serving as executive producer.
Bremner has become one of Sony’s most in-demand writers following the success of the recent Bad Boys films. He has also worked on multiple Will Smith projects, including the upcoming Netflix thriller Fast & Loose.
Plot details for the new Men in Black entry are being kept under wraps as development continues.
