Searchlight Pictures has officially released the first trailer for Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2019 horror hit Ready or Not.

The new installment, set to arrive in theaters on April 10, brings back Samara Weaving as Grace, once again thrust into a violent, high-stakes survival game. With strong anticipation surrounding the Ready or Not 2 trailer and the film’s expanded mythology, the franchise is gearing up for one of 2025’s biggest horror releases.

The Ready or Not sequel picks up immediately after Grace escapes the Le Domas family’s deadly ritual. However, the trailer reveals that her night of terror was only the beginning. Grace soon learns she must face a far more dangerous round of the ancient game—this time joined by her estranged younger sister, Faith, portrayed by Kathryn Newton. Their objective is clear: survive long enough for Grace to claim the High Seat of the Council, a secretive organization that quietly influences global power.

Complicating their mission are four rival families, each determined to hunt Grace down and seize the throne for themselves. The Ready or Not 2 cast introduces new characters played by Sarah Michelle Gellar as Ursula Danforth, Shawn Hatosy as Titus Danforth, and David Cronenberg as Mr. Danforth. Returning stars include Néstor Carbonell, Kevin Durand, Olivia Cheng and Elijah Wood.

Directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, with a screenplay by Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy, the sequel expands the original film’s blend of dark humor, suspense, and social satire. With new rules, new enemies, and higher stakes, Ready or Not 2: Here I Come promises a more intense chapter in the beloved horror franchise.

The official trailer is now live.
