Candice King and Steven Krueger marry in Nashville after changing wedding plans due to pregnancy

Candice King and Steven Krueger got married in a private ceremony in Nashville after revising their original wedding plans following news they were expecting their first child together.
The actors, known for their roles in The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, wed in February at The Chapel at High Point Farm in Tennessee, according to Vogue.
The couple had initially planned a larger celebration later in 2026, but opted for a smaller event with close family.
“We decided to have a small elopement-style weekend in Nashville with just our immediate families, and save the bigger celebration for sometime next year,” Krueger said.
The ceremony included 15 guests, among them King’s two daughters and Krueger’s nieces. Reflecting on the event, Krueger added, “We had 15 people in total, including Candice’s daughters and my two nieces. And it was perfect.”
King noted that organising logistics remained a challenge despite the reduced scale. “The most stressful part was making sure the family felt taken care of and could get from point A to point B — which is true whether you’re eloping with 15 guests or managing a crowd of 200.”
The couple prioritised key elements for the ceremony. “We were ecstatic with how it all came together. We focused on the essential trifecta: photos, flowers, and food,” Krueger said.
King also addressed finding a suitable dress during pregnancy. “Shockingly, there’s not a huge market for wedding dresses that fit over a baby bump,” she said. “I was quite nervous to find a dress that would make me feel bridal and maternal — and not like the ‘Stay Puft Marshmallow Man’ from Ghostbusters bouncing down the aisle.”
The pair confirmed their relationship publicly in December 2023 and announced their engagement in May 2025. King revealed in December that the couple are expecting their baby in May.
