Megan Thee Stallion wins defamation lawsuit against blogger Milagro Gramz
A Florida jury rules in favor of Megan Thee Stallion, awarding $59,000 in defamation case against blogger

Megan Thee Stallion, born Megan Pete, has won a defamation lawsuit against blogger Milagro Gramz, whose real name is Milagro Cooper, after a Florida jury ruled in the rapper’s favor on December 1, 2025.
The case stems from harassment and defamatory statements made by Gramz following a 2020 shooting incident involving R&B artist Tory Lanez.
The federal jury, composed of five men and four women, initially awarded Megan Thee Stallion $75,000. U.S. District Court Judge Cecilia M. Altonaga later reduced the amount to $59,000. The rapper had accused Gramz of acting as a “mouthpiece,” “puppet,” and “paid surrogate” for Lanez, who shot her on July 15, 2020, in Los Angeles.
Jurors found that Gramz willfully encouraged her thousands of followers on X and Instagram to view a sexually explicit deepfake video of Megan Thee Stallion that had circulated online. The rapper, who has struggled with mental health issues since the shooting, did not comment to reporters after the verdict. Gramz’s attorney, Jeremy McLymont, described the award as “not a complete win for either side.”
The case ties back to the July 2020 shooting outside a party at Kylie Jenner’s home. Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, was later found guilty by a Los Angeles jury of three felony charges, including assault with a semiautomatic firearm, carrying an unregistered firearm, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence. He received a sentence of up to 10 years in prison.
This ruling highlights the ongoing legal battles and public scrutiny surrounding the 2020 incident while emphasizing the responsibilities of bloggers and social media users in sharing content about public figures.
