Resurfaced Discord messages allegedly written by the musician d4vd have circulated across social media as investigators continue examining the death of teenager Celeste Rivas.

The posts re-emerged on Monday following a report from TMZ stating that law enforcement is now viewing the singer as a suspect. He has not been charged with any crime.

Authorities discovered Rivas’ body earlier this year in the boot of a Tesla registered to d4vd while he was performing on his “Withered” world tour. According to messages shared by No Jumper, d4vd allegedly wrote: “I used to be addicted to watching gore vids.”

He reportedly stated that he first encountered such content at age 14 after viewing an execution video and added, “I use it to desensitise myself.” Another alleged message read: “I remember laughing at one point, it got bad man.” The messages date back to 2023.

Rivas’ body was found in September, shortly after what would have been her 15th birthday. Her mother has previously said that Rivas ran away from home in 2024 after meeting someone identified to her as “David.”

TMZ reported that law enforcement sources claimed Rivas’ body had been frozen before police located it, a detail that has reportedly delayed the L.A. County Medical Examiner’s efforts to identify an official cause of death.

Images from Zillow of a rental property where d4vd had been staying show a tall KitchenAid freezer, though no connection has been established by investigators.

As of now, no arrests have been made, and Rivas’ death has not been ruled a homicide. TMZ’s Harvey Levin said last week that law enforcement sources informed him an arrest is “not imminent,” noting that the investigation has continued for over two months.
