Fortnite introduces 'Stranger Things' collaboration with Upside Down map in Blitz mode
Fortnite is adding new 'Stranger Things' collaboration featuring Upside Down map and new character skins

Fortnite is set to launch a new Stranger Things collaboration, giving players the chance to explore the Upside Down ahead of the release of the show’s final season.
The crossover arrives as Season 5 prepares to premiere on November 26, marking the latest in a long-running series of partnerships between Epic Games and the Netflix series.
Previous collaborations have brought characters and cosmetics into the battle royale since Chapter 1 Season 9. While many players expected the next update to form part of the wider Chapter 7 rollout, Epic Games revealed that the new content will appear earlier than anticipated.
A new Stranger Things map will be added to Fortnite Blitz on November 21. Blitz, the game’s smaller 32-player mode, will host a version of the Upside Down, allowing players to move between their usual surroundings and the series’ darker parallel realm.
The trailer shows the familiar environment shifting into the shadowy world that has remained central to the show’s storyline. Although the preview offers only a limited look at new points of interest, Vecna’s house is briefly featured.
Epic Games has not yet confirmed whether the entire Blitz map will take place within the Upside Down or if players will be able to switch between dimensions during matches.
The collaboration also introduces new character skins not included in previous crossovers. Mike Wheeler, Dustin Henderson, Lucas Sinclair and Will Byers will join the game, alongside the series’ antagonist, Vecna. These skins are expected to appear in the in-game store, though Epic Games has not given a release date.
Dataminers have already shared early looks at some cosmetic items linked to the update, including Vecna’s vine-styled Pickaxe and Back Bling inspired by the distinctive clock seen throughout Season 4.
The crossover arrives as anticipation builds for the final season, making it a timely moment for fans to return to Fortnite.
