Epic Games has teased a new Back to the Future collaboration during a recent Fortnite event in Los Angeles. The preview suggests the franchise’s iconic DeLorean time machine may soon arrive in the battle royale as the game approaches the launch of Chapter 7.

The tease appeared through photos shared on Fortnite’s official Instagram Stories, where images of the DeLorean were displayed from the Los Angeles showcase. No additional details or release timing were provided, leaving players uncertain about how extensive the crossover will be. The same event also featured appearances from Quentin Tarantino and Uma Thurman, who were present to promote an upcoming Kill Bill collaboration.

The tease comes as Fortnite continues its current crossover mini-season with The Simpsons. This limited event introduced a themed battle pass, Springfield-inspired weapons and items, and an entirely new cel-shaded map featuring well-known locations from the show. Epic previously used a similar mini-season model for Star Wars in early 2025, but the Simpsons update has stood out due to its dedicated map overhaul.

Ahead of Chapter 7’s launch, fans and community leakers have also pointed to clues suggesting the return of The Seven, a group central to Fortnite’s long-running storyline. Members of The Seven have appeared over multiple chapters, with two characters previously voiced by actors Brie Larson and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

While players wait for the next chapter’s arrival on November 30, Epic is offering additional in-game rewards through the Party Up Winter Rush event. Players can earn a free skin and other bonuses by teaming up with friends and gaining XP across various game modes. The mix of current content and upcoming collaborations has contributed to rising enthusiasm for Fortnite’s next major update.
