Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce reportedly shift from small wedding to large 2026 celebration
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have reportedly changed plans, moving from a small wedding to a large 2026 event

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have reportedly altered their wedding plans, moving away from the intimate ceremony they were initially expected to host. The couple became engaged three months ago, and reports now indicate that the event will be considerably larger than first anticipated.
Shortly after the engagement, coverage suggested that the pair intended to keep the ceremony small. A source told Page Six in August that the wedding would be “more casual than people think” and “private.”
According to recent reporting, Swift and Kelce have shifted from this idea and are now planning a celebration with an estimated 300 guests. The report described the planned event as a “star-studded” gathering.
One report stated, “Taylor Swift has decided against a small, private wedding and is instead planning a grand affair. The pop icon and the NFL star are reportedly aiming for an early to mid-2026 wedding, and Swift’s vision appears to include hundreds of star-studded guests on her list.” The report added that the decision followed a period of consideration.
“Taylor went back and forth, but she’s decided there’s no sense in doing a wedding on the smaller side,” the source said, adding, “There’s no doubt in her mind that this is the only time she’ll tie the knot, so having a bigger bash is a no-brainer.”
Kelce proposed to Swift after two years of dating. The proposal took place after the two recorded an episode of New Heights in August. Kelce described his feelings during a later episode, saying, “Exciting, it’s been awesome. It’s been so much fun hearing from everybody, seeing the internet go crazy.”
“I still get giddy, exciting times,” he continued. “It’s been really fun telling everybody who I’m going to be spending the rest of my life with.”
