South Park sparks speculation over possible real Bluey cameo in season 28 episode

Fans question whether South Park secretly used Bluey’s actual voice actor after the character appeared identical

South Park’s 28th season has already drawn major attention for its political satire aimed at former President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance. However, the animated series’ newest episode delivered an unexpected twist: a portrayal of Bluey’s title character that looked and sounded strikingly close to the real thing. The unexpected cameo has prompted speculation about whether South Park quietly enlisted the actual voice actor from the globally popular children’s series.

In the episode, titled “Sora Not Sorry,” Bluey Heeler appears during a courtroom sequence centered on an AI-generated video allegedly created by Kyle, Kenny, and Butters. In the storyline, the video misuses Bluey’s likeness, prompting her to testify that she was depicted “going to the bathroom in a very bad place” and that she “didn’t make a cent” from the clip. While South Park frequently exaggerates or distorts character designs for parodies, this version of Bluey looked nearly identical to the original Disney+ character—aside from slightly altered eyebrows—leading some fans to see the cameo as unusually accurate.

The voice was also surprisingly similar to Bluey’s real child performer. South Park did not publicly credit the actor behind the cameo, and Bluey’s creators traditionally keep the identities of their child voice actors private. The lack of attribution, combined with the near-perfect vocal match, has fueled online theories thatseries creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone may have coordinated quietly with Bluey creator Joe Brumm.

Another unusual element is that the character’s dialogue contained no profanity or edgy humor, despite South Park’s long history of placing children—or child characters—in irreverent situations. Joest noted that this restraint may suggest the show intended not to cross boundaries that could make a real child voice actor uncomfortable, or that the creators have a genuine affection for Bluey and chose to handle the cameo respectfully.

Still, it remains equally plausible that the South Park team simply hired a sound-alike to stir curiosity. With no official confirmation, the mystery persists—and fans are eager to learn whether the crossover was authentic or just a clever illusion.
