Meghan Markle returns to acting after 8 years with new movie ‘Close Personal Friends’
Meghan Markle spotted filming her first acting role in eight years for Amazon MGM’s new movie ‘Close Personal Friends’

Meghan Markle is officially making her Hollywood comeback with a new role in Amazon MGM Studios’ upcoming film “Close Personal Friends.”
The Duchess of Sussex, 44, was recently photographed on set in Pasadena, California, where she filmed scenes for what will be her first acting project in eight years.
Photos published by The Daily Mail and The Sun showed Markle climbing into a Range Rover at the production basecamp before heading to film scenes at a private estate. Dressed in a button-down blouse, white maxi skirt, sunglasses, and tan sandals, the former Suits actress looked relaxed as she greeted crew members.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Close Personal Friends” — directed by Jason Orley and starring Brie Larson, Lily Collins, Jack Quaid, and Henry Golding — follows a couple who befriends a celebrity pair during a trip to Santa Barbara, leading to awkward and comedic situations. Sources claim Markle will be playing herself in the film.
An insider told People that Markle was “very sweet and down-to-earth” on set, while another source described her return as a “massive moment” that signifies her “doing what she truly loves.”
Markle, who rose to fame as Rachel Zane on the hit legal drama Suits, left acting in 2018 before marrying Prince Harry. Since stepping away from royal duties, she has focused on her lifestyle brand As Ever, her Netflix projects, and podcasting.
While no release date has been announced, “Close Personal Friends” is already generating major buzz for marking Meghan Markle’s long-awaited return to acting.
