Anok Yai to be honored as Model of the Year at the Fashion Awards 2025

Anok Yai will receive the Model of the Year award at The Fashion Awards 2025 presented by Pandora in London

The British Fashion Council (BFC) has announced that Anok Yai will be honored with the Model of the Year award at The Fashion Awards 2025 presented by Pandora, set to take place on December 1, 2025, at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

The Fashion Awards celebrate the global influence of fashion and raise funds for the BFC Foundation, which supports emerging talent and industry innovation.

The Model of the Year Award recognizes a model who has made a significant global impact over the past year. Born in Egypt to South Sudanese parents and raised in the United States, Anok Yai has become one of the most sought-after faces in fashion, redefining what it means to be a modern supermodel. In 2025 alone, she graced the cover of Vogue France, fronted campaigns for Versace, Alaïa, and Saint Laurent, and continued as the face of Mugler’s Alien fragrance.

Beyond modeling, Yai has expanded her creative influence, recently serving as Creative Director for a Perfect Magazine editorial, showcasing her artistic vision and role in shaping visual culture.

Expressing her gratitude, Anok Yai said, “Being named Model of the Year is such an honor. My journey from Egypt to South Sudan to the U.S. is one of resilience and community. This recognition is for everyone who’s ever seen their story in mine.”

The award was selected by a panel of top industry professionals, including Anita Bitton, Campbell Addy, Carlos Nazario, and Sophia Neophitou-Apostolou.
