K-P govt releases Rs3 billion for Sehat Card

'The Health Department was the top priority of the provincial government'

PESHAWAR:

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister's Adviser Muzzammil Aslam said on Sunday that the Finance Department has issued a notification to release Rs3 billion for the Sehat Card Programme on the directives of CM Sohail Afridi.

In a statement, the chief minister had expressed his concern over stoppage of funds for Sehat Card during his visit to Khyber Teaching Hospital, and directed concerned quarters to immediately release the funds.

Aslam stated that the Health Department was the top priority of the provincial government, adding that the K-P Finance Department had allocated Rs41 billion for the Sehat Card this year, compared to Rs36 billion in the previous year.
