In an incident of armed abduction, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor's Media Adviser Muhammad Ali and his friend were kidnapped at gunpoint from Federal B Area Block 10 and later robbed of their car and valuables by armed assailants.
The incident occurred around 2:40am on October 22 near Tahir Villa Chowrangi, when a Corolla car carrying three men intercepted the victims' car. The armed suspects - one carrying a Kalashnikov and two with pistols - forced the victims into their own vehicle, threatening to kill them if they resisted.
The kidnappers drove them along Shahrah-e-Pakistan toward the Super Highway, snatching their mobile phones, wallets, ID cards, and ATM cards en route. The victims were eventually dropped near Buraq Pump, while the robbers escaped with their car and belongings toward Hyderabad.
Muhammad Ali later filed an FIR at the Gulberg Police Station. The case has since been referred to the Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC) for investigation.
