George Clooney suggests Ocean’s 14 should feature Louvre heist after praising Paris jewel thieves
George Clooney joked that Ocean’s 14 should include the Louvre heist, saying he was “very proud” of the thieves

George Clooney has suggested the recent Louvre heist in Paris could inspire the plot for a future Ocean’s sequel.
The actor, who played master thief Danny Ocean in Ocean’s Eleven and its sequels, shared his thoughts during a red-carpet interview with Variety.
Referring to the burglars who reportedly stole more than $100 million worth of historic jewels from the Louvre, Clooney said, “It was cool. I mean, it’s terrible. But if you’re a professional thief like I am, I was very proud of those guys.”
Clooney added that he was impressed by the thieves’ apparent success. “I wonder if they’re going to catch these guys. They seem to have done a pretty good job at getting away with it,” he said.
When asked about the long-rumoured Ocean’s 14, Clooney suggested, “I think we should rob the Louvre. But somebody’s already done it, man, I dunno.” Speaking to the Associated Press, he joked further, “I think you gotta put me in, CGI me into that basket coming out of the Louvre.”
At the same event, the actor told Entertainment Tonight that the thieves’ boldness struck him. “I was amazed that it was in the middle of broad daylight. Insane. But every place gets robbed, I guess.”
Clooney also confirmed that a new Ocean’s sequel is moving forward, revealing that Warner Bros. has approved the budget and that filming could begin within the next year. He will return alongside a yet-to-be-confirmed cast.
The Ocean’s franchise began with the 2001 remake of the 1960 Rat Pack film, starring Clooney, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, and Matt Damon, and has since become one of cinema’s most successful heist series.
