Three suspects — including a Lyari gang war operative and two suspected gang members — were arrested in police operations conducted across the city on Saturday.
Kalakot police arrested Ramzan alias Ramzani, a Lyari gang war operative, from the Nawa Lane area. The accused has a total of 10 cases registered against him at various Lyari police stations, including those under sections of murder, attempted murder, the Anti-Terrorism Act, and the Explosives Act.
Additional SHO Kalakot reported that the accused was apprehended with a 9mm pistol and rounds. Suspect Ramzan had also been elected councillor from Lyari in 2004.
Meanwhile, Ibrahim Hyderi police arrested two suspected gang members, Shahid and Mahmood, allegedly involved in house robberies and theft across the city, during a raid in Ilyas Goth, Korangi.
Shahid, along with accomplices, had robbed a house in his own neighbourhood on October 2, 2025, stealing Rs1.2 million in cash, four mobile phones, weapons, and other valuables. It was later discovered that the main culprit was victim's own friend, Shahid. To divert suspicion, Shahid had orchestrated a robbery at his own home.
