Swift reflected on the massive success of the Eras Tour, which concluded in December 2024 after 149 shows across five continents. Each performance lasted more than three hours, revisiting different stages of her career. She described the tour as both unforgettable and exhausting, telling James: “I think about it every day. I’ll never forget seeing what I saw. I could see their experience and their joy, and that fueled me even when I was exhausted.”
When asked whether she had “the itch” to perform again soon, “No. I’m just going to be really honest with you.” Swift answered honestly, saying she does not currently feel the urge to plan another tour. She explained that while performing for her fans was “the most exhausting challenge ever physically,” it was also one of the most rewarding experiences of her life.
The interview came on the same day Swift released The Life of a Showgirl. In a message to fans on Instagram, she described the album as “an album that just feels so right,” adding that it reflects both her personal growth and creative journey.
Reactions from fans were mixed online. Some praised her for prioritizing rest, while others admitted they were hoping for new tour dates. Despite that, excitement around her latest release remains high. Swift is continuing her promotional appearances, including a scheduled stop on The Graham Norton Show later in the day.
