Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran celebrated Selena Gomez, Benny Blanco’s wedding

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s wedding reception drew family, friends, and special moments.

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s Sept. 27 wedding in California was not only a star-studded affair but also an evening filled with personal tributes.

According to PEOPLE, two of Gomez’s closest friends, Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran, took the stage during the reception to share speeches in honor of the newlyweds.

Swift, 35, and Sheeran, 34, are longtime friends of Gomez, 33, and Blanco, 37, with Sheeran and Blanco having collaborated on multiple albums over the years.

Their words were among the most heartfelt moments of the evening, the outlet reported.

The wedding placed a strong emphasis on family. Gomez’s mother Mandy Teefey and her stepfather Brian Teefey both gave speeches, as did Blanco’s parents, Sandra and Andrew Levin.

“At the reception, everyone was letting loose and celebrating them well into the night,” a source told PEOPLE. “The vibe was so much fun.”

“They were glowing all night, and both Selena and Benny couldn’t stop smiling. There was so much love in the room,” the source added.

Gomez confirmed the marriage on Instagram by sharing photos and clips from the day with the caption, “🤍 9.27.25 🤍.”

Blanco later posted his own images, writing, “I married a real life Disney princess.”

Guests included Steve Martin and Martin Short, who delivered a joint speech at the rehearsal dinner, along with Paul Rudd, Paris Hilton, SZA, Camila Cabello, Cara Delevingne, Eric André, and Finneas. Gomez’s Emilia Pérez co-stars Zoe Saldaña and Edgar Ramírez attended, as did members of her Wizards of Waverly Place “family.”

Swift’s role in the wedding highlighted her long-standing friendship with Gomez. She has supported Gomez’s relationship with Blanco since the beginning, even gifting the couple homemade sourdough bread.

She also publicly celebrated Gomez’s engagement in 2024 with a playful Instagram comment offering to be the “flower girl.” Gomez has shown the same support in return, most recently celebrating Swift’s engagement to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

The wedding reflected that same sense of closeness, with speeches and tributes underscoring both Gomez and Blanco’s love story and the enduring friendships around them.
