Jay-Z has praised Bad Bunny following the announcement that the Puerto Rican superstar will headline the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show.
Through Roc Nation, the company that has partnered with the NFL since 2019 to select and produce halftime talent, Jay-Z plays a decisive role in who lands music’s biggest stage.
On Sunday, he celebrated the decision, calling Bad Bunny “a global force” and “truly inspiring.”
“What Benito has done and continues to do for Puerto Rico is truly inspiring. We are honored to have him on the world’s biggest stage,” Jay-Z said in a statement, underscoring both the cultural impact and global reach of the 30-year-old artist.
The NFL, Roc Nation, and Apple Music announced that Bad Bunny will headline Super Bowl LX on February 8, 2026, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
It will mark his first time as a solo headliner after previously joining Shakira and Jennifer Lopez on stage in 2020.
Bad Bunny shared his own emotional statement, calling the performance “for my people, my culture, and our history.”
The announcement adds to a landmark year for the star, who released Debí Tirar Más Fotos in January and completed a record-breaking residency in Puerto Rico in September.
Despite touring internationally, his halftime performance will stand as his only US show scheduled, making Jay-Z’s stamp of approval even more significant.
With Roc Nation at the helm, Jay-Z continues to shape one of the world’s most-watched live events, and Bad Bunny’s upcoming performance looks set to become another milestone in the halftime show’s cultural legacy.
