Netflix has unveiled behind-the-scenes footage of Stranger Things Season 5 as part of a special legacy featurette reflecting on the series. The video features cast and crew members expressing their excitement for the upcoming final season, interspersed with exclusive new clips teasing what’s ahead.
Season 5 is described as “the biggest season we’ve ever had,” with an emphasis on intense action, impressive visual effects, and a gripping story.
Stranger Things Season 5 will premiere on Netflix in three parts: Volume 1 drops on November 26 with four episodes, Volume 2 arrives on Christmas Day with three episodes, and the final volume will launch on New Year’s Eve. Each release is scheduled for 5 PM PT.
Here’s the official synopsis for Season 5:
Set in the fall of 1987, Hawkins remains scarred after the Rifts opened. The heroes are united by one mission: find and kill Vecna, who has mysteriously vanished. Meanwhile, the government has placed Hawkins under military quarantine and intensified its search for Eleven, forcing her into hiding. As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance nears, a familiar and ominous dread looms. The final battle is approaching, bringing a darkness more powerful and deadly than ever before. To end the nightmare, the entire team must stand together one last time.
