Noah Centineo has become the subject of debate after sharing a screenshot of his Disney+ cancellation, prompting questions about whether the actor actually bought a new subscription simply to cancel it.

On Friday, Centineo posted an Instagram Story showing a message from Disney+ confirming his cancellation. The notification, however, revealed that he still had access until September 18, 2026, suggesting he either held or purchased a year-long plan right before cancelling.

He captioned the post “Save money today.” The story has since been deleted.

The timing coincides with widespread calls to boycott Disney-owned platforms following ABC’s indefinite suspension of Jimmy Kimmel Live! on 17 September. Centineo is one of several stars urging fans to withdraw support from Disney, which owns ABC, Hulu and ESPN.

Social media reactions were mixed. Some users criticised the move, arguing that paying for a full year undermines the boycott message.

Others defended Centineo, suggesting the subscription may have auto-renewed, or that the actor’s intention to cancel was more important than the technicality.
