A new Kanye West documentary has revealed explosive footage of the rapper clashing with Kris Jenner during a heated confrontation.
The film, In Whose Name?, which opened in theaters nationwide this week, documents West’s life between 2018 and 2024, a period marked by his political outbursts, strained marriage to Kim Kardashian, and ongoing battles with mental health.
One of the most talked-about scenes shows West, 48, unleashing anger toward his former mother-in-law. “Y’all demasculated me and made me feel like a piece of s–t,” he shouts in the footage, adding, “The only reason you got away with it is because I was medicated.”
West went on to accuse the Kardashian-Jenner family of failing to take responsibility for his psychiatric hospital stay. “It does matter!” he screamed repeatedly when Jenner, 69, told him that online speculation wasn’t important.
The documentary, co-produced by West, also includes a tense backstage encounter with comedian Michael Che following a Saturday Night Live appearance, when Che expressed frustration over West hijacking the show with a pro-Trump speech. Fellow rapper Consequence intervened before the dispute escalated.
While West’s decision to feature such unflattering moments has raised questions, the project underscores his reputation for raw honesty. The documentary provides a rare, unfiltered look at his personal struggles and volatile family dynamics during one of the most turbulent chapters of his career.
