Prince Harry hints at possible move back to UK with Meghan Markle

Prince Harry suggested he and Meghan Markle may return to the UK while speaking at the WellChild Awards in London.

Prince Harry has suggested that he and Meghan Markle may be considering a move back to the United Kingdom, four years after stepping away from royal duties.

The Duke of Sussex, 41, made the remarks during a conversation with singer Joss Stone at the WellChild Awards in London last week. Stone, 38, told Hello! magazine that Harry asked about her own recent relocation to the UK, noting the importance of schools and community for children.

“He was saying how wonderful the schools are here and how important community is for children,” Stone shared. “It was nice to talk about because it’s exactly why we felt drawn to come back.”

Harry and Meghan, 44, relocated to California in 2020 after a brief stay in Los Angeles and Canada. The couple now live in Montecito with their two children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4. King Charles III has only met his granddaughter once, during the late Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022.

The possible move comes amid ongoing tensions within the royal family. In May, Harry expressed a desire to reconcile with his father, telling BBC News, “There’s no point in continuing to fight.” Earlier this month, the two shared a private tea at Clarence House lasting nearly an hour, where Harry showed Charles recent family photos and videos.

While no official decision has been announced, Stone hinted that Harry appeared genuinely interested in the idea of returning. “Maybe Harry will move back too,” she said. “That would be nice.”
