Rising musician D4vd, born David Anthony Burke, has canceled the remainder of his U.S. tour as authorities investigate his connection to the death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas, whose body was found in the trunk of a Tesla registered to him.

According to TMZ, the decision to cancel the final two tour stops — San Francisco on Sept. 19 and Los Angeles on Sept. 21 — was made Thursday evening amid mounting public and legal scrutiny.

The Los Angeles Police Department launched an investigation after a body emitting a foul odor was discovered on Sept. 8 inside a car at the Hollywood Tow yard. The vehicle, a Tesla registered to Burke at a Texas address, had reportedly been impounded for several days. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner later identified the remains as those of Celeste Rivas, a missing teen from Lake Elsinore, California, who was last seen in April 2024.

Footage and photographs surfaced online showing D4vd with Rivas prior to her disappearance. Her mother told TMZ that Celeste had been dating someone named David. Though D4vd has not been formally charged, NBC News reports he is cooperating fully with investigators.

Burke's label has postponed the release of the deluxe edition of his April album Withered and paused all promotional activity. His name has also been removed from the Grammy Museum’s website, where he was scheduled to appear for a Sept. 24 event. Collaborations with brands including Crocs and Hollister have also been suspended.

D4vd, best known for hits like “Here With Me” and “Romantic Homicide,” performed briefly after the news broke but has since withdrawn from public events. His upcoming international tour dates remain uncertain given the ongoing investigation.
