A family source has revealed that the parents of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas received a warning months before the teen’s tragic death, raising questions about the circumstances surrounding her disappearance in 2024.
Celeste was reported missing from her Lake Elsinore, California home in April 2024.
According to the family, she had a “twisted” relationship with singer D4vd (David Anthony Burke), which allegedly began when she was around 13. Sources claim the family repeatedly begged authorities for help while she was missing.
The teen’s decomposed body was later discovered in a Tesla registered to D4vd, abandoned at a Hollywood tow yard on September 8, 2025. The shocking discovery has prompted a homicide investigation, though Burke has not been charged and is reportedly cooperating with authorities.
A family insider told The US Sun, “I know someone called her mom and said, ‘stop looking for her, she’s fine.’ They told the family to take down the social media posts about her being missing.”
It remains unclear who made the call or whether they had any connection to Burke. The family said the warning left them scared and uncertain about how to proceed.
Authorities executed a search warrant at a Hollywood Hills residence where D4vd had been staying temporarily. Investigators collected computers and other devices from the property.
The teen’s family has since launched a GoFundMe campaign to cover funeral expenses and continues to call for a thorough investigation into her disappearance and death.
