Actor-director Justin Baldoni has added high-profile attorney Alexandra Shapiro to his legal team as his ongoing dispute with actress Blake Lively intensifies.
Shapiro, known for representing clients such as Sean “Diddy” Combs and FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried, officially filed a notice of appearance last week.
The legal clash began in December 2024, when Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni and his team at Wayfarer Studios, accusing them of sexual harassment and retaliation during the making of their film It Ends With Us.
Baldoni has denied the claims and had filed a $400 million countersuit for defamation and extortion, which was dismissed in June 2025.
Tensions escalated further when Lively’s lawyers requested sanctions against Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, alleging violations of a court protective order and criticizing public comments made by his team.
The case remains ongoing, with the next court hearing scheduled for October 21, 2025, and the trial set for March 2026.
