A former teacher of Celeste Rivas, the 15-year-old girl found dead in a Tesla linked to singer D4vd, has come forward with detailed statements about her interactions with the rapper prior to her disappearance.
In a video shared by TMZ, the teacher said, “Celeste was my student at Lakeland Village Middle School, and she told me she had met D4vd online. She ran away to Hollywood with him once, and the police brought her back to school. Then she disappeared again in May 2024.”
The teacher also referred to another student in his classroom who had been photographed exchanging items with D4vd, saying, “Hold up, I got another one because I got a picture on TMZ of this other kid exchanging stuff with the rapper who allegedly did this stuff. Hold on a second because he's also in my classroom.”
He explained that Celeste had shared her experience with classmates after being returned to school, recounting her time with D4vd and the month she spent away.
The teacher emphasized that the events leading up to her disappearance were troubling and shocking, especially given her young age and the involvement of a public figure.
Authorities executed a search warrant at a Hollywood Hills residence where D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, had been staying temporarily. While D4vd does not own the property, investigators stated the location may hold evidence critical to understanding the circumstances surrounding Celeste’s death.
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that Celeste Rivas was found deceased in the front trunk of a Tesla registered to D4vd. Officials said the investigation remains ongoing, and no arrests have been made.
Through his statements, the teacher has become one of the first people to publicly recount Celeste’s interactions with D4vd and highlight the presence of other students who may have been connected, shedding light on her story before her tragic death and offering insight into the timeline of her disappearances.
Authorities continue to investigate Celeste Rivas’ death.
