Kristin Cabot, the former Chief People Officer at Astronomer, has filed for divorce from her husband Andrew Cabot just weeks after being caught on the Coldplay kiss cam with ex-Astronomer CEO Andy Byron.
Court records confirm that Kristin filed her petition in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, on August 13.
The scandal, which went viral after Chris Martin warned fans their faces could appear on the jumbotron, showed Kristin and Byron embracing before ducking out of view once cameras caught them. The moment quickly fuelled speculation of an affair.
Andrew Cabot’s ex-wife Julia told Daily Mail the split was unsurprising, claiming she received a message from Andrew immediately after the concert saying, “Her life is nothing to do with me,” and revealing that they were already separating.
Julia added, “He’s saying it has nothing to do with him, even though they were married and shared a house. But then, the only thing he cares about is money.” She also remarked that neither Kristin nor Andrew seemed suited for marriage.
Property records show Kristin and Andrew jointly owned a $2.2 million home in Rye, New Hampshire, purchased in February. The divorce marks Kristin’s second, following her marriage to Kenneth Thornby, which ended in 2022. For Andrew, CEO of Privateer Rum, this will be his third divorce.
Julia said she believed the scandal was “karma,” adding that Andrew was likely embarrassed rather than emotionally affected. Kristin was also seen without her wedding ring in July, fuelling rumours of marital issues before the filing.
