Young Thug has issued a public apology to fellow rapper GloRilla following leaked jail call recordings that sparked controversy across social media.

The Atlanta rapper was accused of disparaging GloRilla’s appearance during the call, remarks that quickly circulated online and drew criticism from fans.

The recordings, which surfaced amid Young Thug’s ongoing legal troubles, placed GloRilla unexpectedly at the center of the discussion. Known for her rising career and recent relationship headlines with NBA star Brandon Ingram, she became a target of speculation after the audio spread.

GloRilla was quick to fire back, posting on Twitter: “Mind you dis da same n***a blowing my phone up to ask what color my eyes is lmaooo.” Her response went viral, fueling debates about both artists and amplifying the tension.

In an unusual move, Young Thug took to social media to apologize directly. “@GloTheofficial first of all I’m sorry to u for my words and I honestly don’t think ur ugly at all, I was speaking from jail just having a hard time with life.. I don’t like bashing girls and hardly ever did.. I’m sorry to u twin,” he wrote.

This marks the second time in recent weeks the rapper has publicly addressed leaked audio, having previously responded to chatter involving OTF and Lil Durk. His apology to GloRilla revealed a rare display of vulnerability, offering insight into how he is attempting to navigate mounting scrutiny.

With more recordings reportedly in circulation, questions remain about whether Young Thug will continue addressing each controversy or shift focus back to his music career.
