Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are officially engaged after two years of dating.
The pop superstar and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end confirmed the news on Instagram on Tuesday, where Swift shared photos of Kelce’s proposal with the caption, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨.”
The couple began dating in the summer of 2023, shortly after Swift’s split from actor Joe Alwyn. Their relationship has been closely followed by fans, with speculation about a possible engagement circulating for more than a year.
In December 2023, sources revealed that Kelce had already asked Swift’s father, Scott Swift, for his blessing, fueling early rumors. By August 2024, NFL analyst Adam Schefter hinted on-air that the pair could be headed for marriage, further intensifying fan speculation.
Kelce, who famously attempted to give Swift his number during her Eras Tour before they officially connected, has spoken publicly about the relationship’s milestones. In May 2025, reports suggested the couple planned to have a “front and center” discussion about their future once Kelce’s football career slowed down.
The engagement comes after several subtle hints, including blurred photos of Swift’s hand at an Eras Tour wrap party and her tendency to hide her left hand during public appearances earlier this year.
Swift’s romance with Kelce followed her brief relationship with The 1975’s Matty Healy and her six-year relationship with Alwyn. Kelce was previously linked to influencer Kayla Nicole.
The newly engaged couple has yet to share wedding details, but fans have already begun celebrating the long-anticipated announcement.
