The PMD has ruled out the possibility of heavy rainfall or strong winds in Karachi on August 27, predicting only light rain, drizzle, or scattered showers in some areas.
According to the PMD, a tropical storm near Vietnam and Laos in the Pacific Ocean is currently active. Whenever the Pacific Ocean becomes meteorologically active, it tends to limit weather activity in the Bay of Bengal. As a result, moisture that would typically influence weather in Pakistan is now being diverted towards the Pacific, significantly weakening the system that was expected to impact Karachi and rural Sindh around August 27.
On Monday, Karachi recorded a maximum temperature of 31.6°C, with humidity levels at 69%. Meanwhile, the hottest spot in rural Sindh was Dadu with 38.5°C.
