Woman who killed her children remanded to police custody in Karachi

IO requested for physical remand as further information is needed regarding the murder weapon recovered

KARACHI:

A Judicial Magistrate (South) has handed over a woman to police on physical remand in the case of murdering her two children in the Defence area of Karachi. The suspect, Adeeba, was produced before the Judicial Magistrate South by police in connection with the case on Monday.

The investigating officer requested the court for physical remand as further information is needed regarding the murder weapon that has been recovered. He also said more facts need to be established from the suspect, and therefore, further investigation is required.

The court granted the request and handed over the woman to police custody until Tuesday.

According to the police, the suspect slaughtered her son and daughter. She separated from her husband. After committing the crime, she informed her ex-husband. A case has been registered against the woman at the Darakhshan police station.
