Taylor Swift’s much-anticipated debut on boyfriend Travis Kelce’s hit podcast New Heights took an amusing turn when co-host Jason Kelce playfully reminded her of her Pennsylvania roots.

In a preview clip posted to the New Heights Instagram, Jason introduced Swift as a singer “from Nashville, Tennessee” before quickly shouting, “That’s bulls—! She is from Reading, Pennsylvania!” The lighthearted jab had both Travis and Taylor in fits of laughter.

Swift, who grew up on a Christmas tree farm in Reading before moving to Nashville to pursue her music career, responded with amusement. “That intro, Jason. Oh my god,” she said, laughing as Jason continued to praise her achievements.

The episode, also featuring discussion about Swift’s upcoming album The Life of a Showgirl, marks the first time the pop star has appeared on the Kelce brothers’ podcast, which launched in 2022.

Swift’s Pennsylvania upbringing remains an important part of her story. Born in 1989, she lived on her family’s farm before moving to a nearby home in the late 1990s. In 2003, the Swifts relocated to Hendersonville, Tennessee, just outside Nashville, where her career took off.

Jason’s comment highlights a common misconception among fans who associate Swift exclusively with Nashville’s country music scene. In reality, she has deep ties to both Pennsylvania and Tennessee, with multiple homes in Nashville and an extensive real estate portfolio valued at around $100 million.

The New Heights episode featuring Swift is expected to draw huge viewership, as fans tune in for her candid conversation with Travis and Jason—and, of course, more playful family banter.
