Taylor Momsen has continued performing with The Pretty Reckless on AC/DC’s ongoing tour after being hospitalised in Mexico due to a venomous spider bite, with reports confirming she returned to the stage shortly after receiving medical treatment.

The incident occurred during the band’s run as the opening act on AC/DC’s Power Up Tour, where Momsen suffered a significant spider bite while on tour in Mexico City. The injury caused a noticeable reaction on her leg, leading to hospital treatment and monitoring by local medical staff. Despite the severity of the reaction, she shared updates on social media showing her recovery process and maintained that she intended to continue performing.

Recent reports indicate that Momsen did not cancel any scheduled appearances following the hospital visit. Instead, she resumed touring duties and performed at the Mexico City concert shortly after receiving treatment. Coverage from tour tracking and entertainment outlets confirms that she remained committed to the live schedule, consistent with her earlier public statements that she would proceed with performances unless medically unable to do so.

Momsen addressed the situation through Instagram posts, describing the bite as coming from a “massive spider” and noting that the venom caused a strong physical reaction. She also thanked medical staff in Mexico for providing treatment and care during what she described as an unexpected setback while on tour. Despite the hospitalisation, her tone remained focused on continuing the shows rather than stepping away from the tour.

This latest incident adds to a series of unusual on-tour health scares for Momsen. In 2024, while performing in Seville during a previous AC/DC-related tour cycle, she was bitten by a bat on stage, which required rabies vaccinations. That earlier event also did not lead to long-term cancellation of performances, reinforcing her reputation for continuing shows despite unexpected injuries.

The current AC/DC Power Up Tour continues across multiple international dates, with The Pretty Reckless confirmed as the opening act for selected legs. Momsen’s recovery appears to have been swift enough to allow uninterrupted participation in the remaining scheduled performances, with no official announcements of cancellations or extended breaks.

As of the latest updates, she is reported to be stable, actively touring, and continuing live performances as planned.
