Motorway Police have registered a case against a man for illegally attempting to cross a motorway on foot - a dangerous act that authorities say has led to numerous fatal accidents in the past.

According to police sources, the accused, identified as Sajjad Mahmood, crossed the motorway near Shahdiwal, Lahore.

The Motorway Police subsequently lodged a complaint at Hanjarwal Police Station, leading to the registration of a First Information Report (FIR).

The FIR was filed under sections 290 and 291 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
