Ioan Gruffudd was all smiles as he attended the world premiere of Fantastic Four: First Steps in Los Angeles on Monday, accompanied by his pregnant wife, Bianca Wallace. The Welsh actor, 51, who played Mister Fantastic in the 2005 Fantastic Four film, looked proud and affectionate as he cradled Wallace’s baby bump while posing on the blue carpet.
The couple, who tied the knot in April 2025, appeared radiant as they arrived at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. Gruffudd wore a classic black suit with a crisp white shirt, while 32-year-old Wallace stunned in a strapless grey midi dress with black accessories.
Gruffudd’s presence at the event marked a full-circle moment, as he showed support for the latest reboot of the superhero franchise in which he once starred. The 2005 version, also starring Jessica Alba, Chris Evans, and Michael Chiklis, grossed over $330 million worldwide and led to a 2007 sequel. The 2025 reboot marks the franchise’s first integration into the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is set in a retro-futuristic 1960s-inspired world, aligning with the comic’s original tone.
Despite ongoing legal proceedings involving his former spouse Alice Evans, Gruffudd appeared upbeat and focused on celebrating the film’s release with his new partner.
Fans have expressed enthusiasm following the release of the first trailer in February. One social media user wrote, “The Fantastic Four trailer looks so sleek — it nails the period vibe like First Avenger did.” Others shared similar sentiments, with many calling it a “refreshing” take on the franchise.
Fantastic Four: First Steps will be released nationwide on July 24.
