According to her representative, doctors identified “extreme exhaustion, dehydration, vasoconstriction and low metabolic levels” as the cause of her symptoms . She has since been treated, discharged, and is resting at home .

In a heartfelt statement to fans, Megan opened up about the frightening experience.

“Last night was a real wake-up call for me. I’ve been pushing myself past my limits lately, running on empty, and my body finally said enough,” she wrote. “It honestly scared me. I thought I was gonna faint on stage, I really tried to push through my performance but I just couldn’t.”

She added, “Hotties I wanna be real with y’all because you mean everything to me and I hate letting y’all down. I just need one day to rest, reset, and take care of myself the way I should have been.”

Megan confirmed she will return to the stage Thursday, writing she will be “stronger, clearer, and ready to give you 100% the way you deserve.”

The rapper made history last month as the first woman to play the role of Zidler in any production of “Moulin Rouge!” . Her eight-week run began March 24 and is scheduled to conclude May 17 .
