Ariana Grande has directly addressed speculation about her music career, dismissing claims that she’s stepping away from singing.

In a candid message shared on social media, the pop star called such assumptions “very silly” and assured fans that music remains central to her life.

“Very silly of you all to assume that just because I have my hands full with many things that I plan to abandon singing & music … !!! It is and has always been my lifeline. There will need to be room made for all of it,” Grande stated.

Although she’s currently immersed in acting — with major roles in the “Wicked” films and the animated adaptation of “Oh, the Places You’ll Go” — Grande confirmed she’s working on a plan to “sing for you all next year. Even if it’s just for a little.”

Grande’s last full-length project, Eternal Sunshine, dropped last year, followed by the Eternal Sunshine Deluxe: Brighter Days Ahead edition in March, which featured six new tracks. While she didn’t tour in support of the album, her online activity hints at possible smaller live performances.

Her next big screen appearance will be Wicked: For Good, arriving in cinemas November 21.
