As the mystery deepens surrounding the death of model and actress Humaira Asghar, investigation has revealed that she tried to contact 14 different people, including a well-known drama director, on October 7, 2024, but none responded to her calls or messages, sources told The Express Tribune.
The decomposed body of Humaira, per post mortem report, was approximately eight to nine month old, most likely she had died in October. There were no call records after October.
The actress's body was found on July 8 in her flat on the fourth floor of a residential building in Ittehad Commercial, DHA Phase VI. Police said they are investigating Humaira's death from multiple angles, though the exact cause will only be confirmed once forensic and chemical examination report of the post-mortem are received.
According to investigators, Humaira's mobile-phone communication records show that among the 14 people she tried to reach was a prominent director from the television industry, currently based in Islamabad. Investigators have established contact with him, and his formal statement is expected to be recorded soon.
From Humaira's apartment, police recovered three mobile phones, a tablet device, a diary, and several important documents.
