Pedro Pascal’s signature style is changing, and the reason may be tied to controversy. Julia Ragolia, the actor’s longtime stylist, has officially parted ways with him, just weeks after she publicly shared that she had received death threats over one of Pascal’s red-carpet outfits.

The outfit in question? A fashion-forward look featuring shorts and knee-high boots at a Star Wars event in Japan. That ensemble drew harsh criticism from fans online, including violent threats. In April, Ragolia posted on X, “One of you called for my death because you didn’t like Pedro’s outfit… I’m just going to let you sit with your obsession.”

Despite the backlash, Ragolia remained unapologetic. She reminded followers that stylists are collaborators, not dictators, and that Pascal himself has a say in his fashion choices. “Pedro is a grown adult with his own opinions on what he likes,” she said.

Ragolia began working with Pascal after the premiere of The Last of Us in 2023, helping shape his rise as a style icon. Known for subverting traditional menswear norms, she once tweeted, “I’m not a celebrity stylist. I just enjoy shaking up the internet for people.”

Her departure came after the Cannes Film Festival in May, though she made no direct link between the online harassment and her decision. “After Cannes was a good time to part ways,” she told GQ recently, emphasising that her goal had been to show how men of a certain age could still be viewed as sexy.

Pascal has since moved on with stylist Jamie Mizrahi, who has dressed him for recent press tours including Eddington and The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
