Reality TV personality Cashel Barnett, known for Love Island USA and The Challenge, has been charged with five felony counts in Utah related to two alleged incidents involving his former partner.
Barnett was initially arrested in May 2025 following an incident reported to have occurred on April 10. According to a police affidavit, the woman identified as the mother of his child alleged that Barnett physically assaulted her in the presence of their daughter. She reported experiencing memory loss, difficulty breathing, and neck pain after the incident.
On June 25, prosecutors filed three additional felony charges, stemming from a separate alleged incident between November and December 2024. The new charges include first-degree aggravated sexual assault, as well as additional counts of aggravated assault and domestic violence in the presence of a child.
Barnett is currently being held without bail. His attorney, Andrew K. Deesing, stated that the case remains in the early stages and that Barnett "looks forward to his day in court." A preliminary hearing is scheduled for early July.
All charges remain allegations, and Barnett has not entered a plea.
