Elections for Student Councils were successfully completed in all government high and higher secondary schools across Rawalpindi district on Wednesday. Student voters elected their representatives for the academic session 2025-26.
The elections were held for the posts of President, Vice President, General Secretary, and Finance Secretary.
Students from various classes served as voters, while the election cell and polling officers included both students and senior teachers.
Each candidate contested individually; the formation of panels was not allowed. Every candidate had a unique election symbol.
Polling began one hour after the start of the school day.
After voting concluded, counting was conducted and the elected student leaders were officially announced. An oath-taking ceremony for the newly elected office bearers of the Student Councils will be held soon.
