14 killed in bus accident in Muzaffarabad

At least 14 people were killed after a mini bus plunged into a ravine in Nausehri area of Muzaffarabad on Saturday.

MUZAFFARABAD: At least 14 people were killed while five sustained critical injuries after a mini bus plunged into a ravine in Nausehri area of Muzaffarabad on Saturday.

Relief and rescue efforts are being undertaken by police and army officials while local residents are also assisting.

Police officials said that the injured persons are being shifted to hospitals the closest of which is at least three hours from the accident site. The death toll may increase as some of the wounded are in critical conditions.

Reports suggest the mishap occured due to overspeeding.
