Justin Bieber’s friend Ryan Good distances himself over concerns about pastor Judah Smith
Ryan Good, longtime friend and creative partner of Justin Bieber, has reportedly cut ties with the singer over his continued association with pastor Judah Smith. According to sources cited by TMZ, Good — who previously served as Bieber’s road manager and is the creative director of Bieber’s fashion label, Drew House — has not spoken to the pop star in over a year.
The reported rift began when Good left Churchome, a Beverly Hills-based church where Smith serves as lead pastor and which Bieber still regularly attends. Sources say Good believed the church had cult-like aspects and chose to walk away. His discomfort reportedly grew as Bieber’s closeness to Smith deepened.
Tensions reportedly worsened after Bieber appointed Judah Smith to the Drew House board of directors — a decision insiders described as “weird,” noting that Smith is primarily a pastor with limited business experience. The appointment was especially surprising given Smith’s strained relationship with Good.
Amid their silence, Good is reportedly concerned about Bieber’s recent behaviour, including videos of the singer partying at Coachella and an altercation with paparazzi near the festival grounds. Though they are no longer in contact, sources say Good has been observing Bieber’s public appearances with growing unease.
Sources close to Smith told TMZ that he holds no ill will toward Good and wishes him well, though they too haven’t spoken in about a year. They emphasized that Good chose to distance himself from both the church and Bieber.
As of now, Bieber’s representatives have not responded to requests for comment. The rift adds to growing public concern about the singer’s current state and the influence of those in his inner circle.
