The release of A Minecraft Movie has sparked a wave of disruptive behavior among young audiences, prompting several movie theaters to issue warnings to moviegoers.

The film, based on the popular video game by Mojang Studios, has seen viral trends emerge on social media, with fans clapping, shouting, and throwing popcorn during key moments of the movie. These antics have caused some theaters to take action, warning that disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.

One such warning came from a Cineworld theater in Oxfordshire, which posted a notice cautioning patrons against disturbing other guests with loud noises, clapping, or shouting during the film. The notice stated, “Any form of anti-social behavior, especially anything that may disturb other guests such as loud screaming, clapping and shouting will not be tolerated. Anyone who is found to be acting in this manner will be removed from the screening and not entitled to a refund.”

Similarly, England’s REEL cinema issued a statement reminding customers that disruptive behavior, including participating in TikTok trends, would result in ejection and potentially police involvement. The Glasgow Times reported that another Cineworld location in the area also posted a reminder to patrons not to engage in disruptive behavior, such as making excessive noise or using phones during the screening.

Starring Jack Black, Jason Momoa, Danielle Brooks, Emma Myers, and Sebastian Hansen, A Minecraft Movie has become a major success for Warner Bros., grossing $162 million domestically and $313 million worldwide, making it the highest-grossing video game movie opening in history.

The film’s success was celebrated by Warner Bros. executives Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy in a memo, highlighting the film’s record-breaking achievements. A Minecraft Movie is currently playing in theaters, with moviegoers urged to respect others for an optimal cinema experience.
